that filter may be enough as long as you keep the strocking density low.
because it is a trickle filter, keep a check on your nitrates. also, i would recamend you getv some live rock to assist in filtration. one more, do you have a skimmer?. these are essential to marine tanks.

so i should get more live rock to put in the filter? ok. and no i dont have a proten skimer i didnt think i needed one with the trickle filter i have gess the lfs was wrong again (imagin that) :/ what exactly does the proten skimmer do anyway how big should it be i dont have much room left in my livingroom after the filter and the tank

one more thing what do you mean keep the stroking density low ? now i feel stupid :*) and what side do i put the live rock on the one with the bio balls or the side with the pump?

you would be better putting the live rock in to the display tank. this will look nice as well as assisting filtration. i would have a look for a deltec or aquamedic skimmer with a pump. these are quite expensive but if you lookaround you should be able to get a second hand one pretty cheap. the skimmer could hang on the back of the aquarium or if you put a shelf above the filter you could put it there.

heres a picture of the deltec:

the protein skimmer makes a tornado of sorts in that large column. micro air bubbles create a foam that particles stick to. the particles rise with the air and filter to the top of the column into a collection chamber. a very neat filter.
