Tonight I was looking in my tank at all the algae growing in it during its early phase.... and I noticed something odd on a piece of LR. I started looking closer, thinking it was just another patch of algae that had grown a bit big. Then I started counting.... 8 little "tentacles". Then I started looking closer and saw ANOTHER little patch of it.

So tell me guys, is this what I think it is?

I was wanting a FOWLR, but I don't think any of my inhabitants will mess with soft corals, and if that's Xenia or one of the other easy corals, I won't argue.... I'll just accept it as a free hitchiker.

yeah, it looks like aiptasia. you should not take any chances and get rid of
it using the method in that post.

Yep almost sure thats aiptasia.

Follow the instructions in the other post to get rid of it. However I would not think its a graet concern as if this is only a FOWLR then it really shouldnt be an issue (except for pure asthetics of course)
