Your pictures look fine to me....Love the golden barbs -the colours are really vibrant.

Really love the barbs, they last forever them things  i like the way your tank is set-up, but i doubt you will have many fans of your gravel here, go for sand its so easy imo, trust me you will not regret it.

Absolutely bullet proof aren't they! love em.

very well done! does the rope fish ever snag any of your fish??

must comment about the gravel though, if not sand, maybe a more natural color???it would really improve the looks!! but it looks great already :good:

loving the tank, i have the same hollow bamboo piece decoration that my 8" senegal bichir loves =P

Thanks for the comments! :D

The gravel is going don't worry, i've got a few bags of Tesco play sand here that I grabbed on offer. I'm going to lay a plant base down first too so that my plants may grow better. Its being delayed by the fact that the Snowball Plec died and had an odd parasitic infection - if you look real close at the pic of it you can make out some very very small white spots (not Ick, but something else) so i'm dosing the tank with Sterazin thats clearing up the infection on the other fish that caught it :(

Once thats done and dusted I'll make the move to Sand for sure :)

Well you'll all be please to know I made the switch to Sand today. took a bit longer than expected but it all went well and i've managed to avoid too much haze in the water :)

Used a bag of Argos play sand that cost a whopping £2.49! Took some rinsing but was worth it. Put a layer of plant substrate underneath too and had a bit of a rearrange. No pics yet, i'll take some tommorow once its all settled in :D
