Some questions... are they noob or not?

Hi all! I haven't tried any of this yet, would be interested in hearing from anybody that has... Can you put something such as a silver shark or rainbow shark in a tank and then feed it guppies from a separate tank? Will the shark eat them?

FW sharks aren't really sharks. Here's a link:

They would do better on a balanced diet such as flakes and bloodworms.

OMG! Cover the tank as Silver Sharks can jump up to six feet in the air.
Thank you VERY much for the link, that site looks like it will be very useful! Is there any sort of fish that you would reccomend for a 40G tank that you could feed smaller fish to?

Angelfish.

Is your tank at least 18" in height?
That is what they require or chances are they will be stunted(organs keep growing, body doesn't).

Once full grown, they will eat small feeder guppies, but that should only fed to them sparingly. They require a more balaced diet.
