Hm.. I started my fishless cycle a few days ago.

I've been adding like 2ml of ammonia each day.

And, i stopped adding it for like 2 days, and i checked Ammonia level, and it's still ~5.0 ppm.

And, my nitrite level is 0.

Question : Do i need to still add that 2ml of ammonia every day even though there is already ~5.0 ppm ammonia? or do i just leave it until it goes down and then add some?

I have some plants in my tank right now. How long will it take to finish cycle?

Just wondering... :(

What size tank do you have? Ammonia has to be added everyday, even when nitrites start to appear but add half the quantity for the time being. Depending on the size of the tank - cycling can take anytime up to 6 weeks.

my tank is 10 gallon. So, u mean even though the ammonia level is ~5.0 ppm, i need to keep adding same amount of ammonia?

Yes that's what I did for mine. My 12 gallon took a total of 18 days to fully cycle. Keep adding the ammonia in. Half the amount you get once you see a nitrite spike.
