there's only four silver sharks , the other ones with the red lines on are (red line barbs ) but they look very simalar , in size and shape, but not many people know much about them as they have only recently been discovered, thanks for looking

Redline Torpedo Barbs arent recently discovered fish, they were described taxonomically over 100 years ago and have been known to the local people in Kerala for far longer. They are however quite new to the aquarium hobby.

Pretty expensive fellows usually around £15-20 although i know wsomewhere you can get them cheaper >>>> Trimar :)

Really nice fish and they dont grow as large as Silver sharks. They grow to a max 6".

I have seven...great fishies :D

thats good to know about the barbs any shop i go in seeem to think their a new found thing , so do you have any idea how to sex them

Lovely fish, I've also got the red line barbs, I don't know how to sex them and as far as I know, they've never been bred in captivity.

hi again..no dont know how to sex them, I have heard that in the US they have been bred, but i think it is hormone induced.

Ello Gadazobe,

I remember when i got mine over a year ago I spoke to you about them then also because you already had them.

They are really nice when fully grown.
