Some ? On Boesemani Rainbows

I have three of these fish at the moment, 2 in my 55gal. and one in quarintine. I'm planing on haveing a group of 5-6 in the 55gal. I know i have 1 male and 1 female but this fish i'm having a had time sexing. Can some one help me with it?
Also what is the best ratio to have them in? And how easy are they to breed?
