For those in the UK, there are some nice brackish / oddball fish at Wildwoods:

I've note seen Toxotes microlepis traded as such in the UK before, so that's nice, and Etroplus canarensis is a very rare species in the hobby (it's a freshwater fish though, despite being a chromide). Datnoides undecimradiatus (a freshwater Siamese tiger) and Xenentodon 'cancilloides' (not currently recognised as distinct from Xenentodon cancilla) are likewise pretty rare beasites.

Cheers,

Neale

I saw this yesterday whilst browsing tropicalfishfinder. Are Toxotes microlepis definitely freshwater? And what size would you think they might attain?

Many thanks

Craig

Craig --

They're freshwater to slightly brackish. Provided you don't have soft, acid water they will be fine in freshwater. They are said to spawn only in slightly brackish (1.006).

Cheers,

Neale
