Just to show that I am not all about kill the snails I thought I would post some pictures of the naitive snails I have collected from local creeks and am getting established in some of my tanks.

In the very front of this picture there is a MTS, which is quite different to the other snail in the first photos.

Hope all the snail lovers enjoy the pictures.

Some extra pictures.

What I think is really cool about these guys is that even to the naked eye their shells have the green colouration.

Nice pics Baccus.....I still think you have something in your water because mine aren't as colourful as yours just plain old black I don't know the names of a snails anatomy but the fleshy parts of your dark snails are very motley......quite unusual don't you think. :)

I like the mottled bodies and the interesting thing is each one has different degrees of mottling. They also seem well behaved in that they aren't taking themselves for walkies out of my tanks.

I guess I could have any number of things in my water....I live at the end of Australia's 2nd largest rain catchment  .

I love snails as well. Thanks for sharing these great photos!

Kind of off topic, but what are the fish in the first pics? I like the snails though.

Fly specked rainbowfish, sometimes called a hardie head, an Aussie native found in most creeks along the East coast.
