I have a couple more queries
Firstly regarding filters, does the effect stack? On my 43gallon tank (thanks to the people who worked it out) I have a millenium 1000 and an aquaclear 150, both are recommended for 30gal tanks, am I getting enough filtration?
I will be picking up a nitrate test kit today (why can't they sell one with everything in it? ) What is a good reading to get?
And lastly, I was told that the following was a little crowded for a 33gal tank(my original bad maths) however is it still crowded for a 43? I mainly want to get another dwarf gourami, another cory or 2 and some more tetras, but don't want them to be overcrowded. Also do LFS usually take baby fish from private tanks? As the mollies will eventually get to full size and again don't want it too crowded
(sorry I don't know the scientific names, these are what they are commonly called here)
2 x Blackwidows sex unknown
1 x male sailfin molly
2 x female mollies
approx 4 baby mollies
1 x female sword tail
1 x Adult male platty
1 x Adult female platty
1 x Juvenile male platty (he has been chasing the female around the tank a bit lately)
1 x male mouth brooder <- was told he was an egyptian mouthbrooder, tho after seing a pick of one he isnt that, he almost looks like a betta mouthbrooder from pics i have seen, will try to find an exact pic
1 x dwarf gourami (he is in hospital tank at the moment for observation)
1 x neon tetras
1 x glow light tetra
1 x clown loach
2 x cories
2 x silvertip tetra
4 x small pest feeder fish (slowly getting rid of them)
*edit* I finally identified 2 mystery fish as silvertip tetra, now I just have to figure out why one of them wants to kill the otherone all the time
