Here is the wood I am going to be adding when it is done soaking.

What do you guys think so far?

Your tank looks really nice. I like the plants and the dark gravel. The only suggestion I would make would be adding some rock work, as you have africans. Africans love having caves to swim through and what not. Also having rock work can reduce aggression, once males become more established.

Alright thanks!

Yeah after I get the wood in there, I am going to look at getting some rock.

I found this one fish shop about 45 minutes from where I live that has probably like at least 20 different kinds of rock you can get!

Thanks again...glad you like it!

That is a very nice piece of wood you have. Try using the flash for your pictures so get a better stop action and less blurring from fish movement. It will require that you shoot at an angle to the glass so you don't end up with a pretty picture of the flash but it will better illuminate the subject than trying to force things using just the ambient lighting.

Okay thanks!

Next time I take pics I will do what you said.

That's really nice. I love the gravel. It'll look even better when yu've added your rocks and wood, and the plants have grown in and filled out the gaps a bit :D

Yeah I cant wait to get the wood and rocks in there. It is too bad I got to wait a while before adding the wood, but oh well...it will be well worth it!

I'm hoping the plants grow in nice and fill in all the gaps...I'm sure they will in no time though.

Thanks again

nice cichlids mate, are those demisons you got in there
Yup, but he died...stress related!

I will definitely be stocking up in these Cichlids once I get my 55 gallon going!
