I saw what looked like a senegal birchir, it was grey/silver about 3 inches long and cost £8. it's name wasn't Senegal Birchir though, it was something like apistolis Birchir (something like that). The guy asked me what I had in my tank, I told him.
Gold Severum
Keeping my friends Blood parrot for a month till his tank get's repaired.
Yo yo loach
Pleco
Pegassius (getting rid of)
Neons

He told me that the only thing this guy will attack would be the neons. Everything else it would leave well alone and would never have any territorial disputes etc.
Is this true? Because if it is I wouldn't mind getting one.

Another name for a Senegal bichir is Cuviers bichir. Most bichirs are safe to keep with fish that are over 3" in length, the only excepetions you are likely to come across are ornate bichirs and saddled bichirs both of which grow larger than 2 feet and are highly predatory.
