Some Alternatives For A Koi Pond

My father's friend has a koi pond with only 2 butterfly koi and some green frogs in it. The koi pond is very large but I don't know the exact measurments or anything because it is not mine. All of the fish should get along with the koi and be able to survive a winter in Rhode Island. If anybody has some suggestions pkease let me know.

Not knowing the size makes it harder, but if it's large enough a couple of comets would do fine in there... just get them large enough so the koi won't think they're food!

All depends on size of the pond but few ideas...

Sturgeon/Sterlets - Siberian, Stelatus/Starry, Albino (wouldn't recomend Diamond back)
Orfe - Blue or Golden
Tench- Golden or green
Goldfish- sarasa comets, shubunkins, commons
Grass carp
Rudd

Im in NW Washington... not wuite as cold, but I have bluegill in mine w/ the goldfish and a few Koi..

don't know if its a good idea or not.. but they have been in there 2 years.
