Here's the scenario...

I took all the plastic plants out of my tank for a good scrub and soak in hot water. While I was rescaping the rest of my tank, my dad came over and washed his hands with dish soap over my plants.

Is there anything I can do to ensure that the plants are safe for my tank? Is this a lost cause? I'm so angry at my dad right now for not taking the ten extra steps to the bathroom after coming upon a completely filled sink. Grrrrrrrrrr.

Anywho, I would really appreciate some help here. I'm beside myself thinking about how much I would have to spend to replace everything. -_-

Get a bucket, fill it with 10 parts water and 1 part bleach.

Put the plants in there and scrub them with a sponge.

Then after that rinse them off in hot water for a little while.

Then when you put them back into the tank, double up on dechlor.
