I'm sure he will be fine! Mine always runs off into the rocks as soon as lights go out! He pops back out just fine in the morning

Mines the same! Spends all day in hiding and comes out of a night when the moonlights are on.

He could be just a bit shy then. They are really skittish. LFS tanks usually have hardly any rock so its easier to catch fish. B=Now its in yours its got places to hide. Dont worry while its eating. If it doesnt come out to feed in a few days id worry then.
