got this tank for xmas and originally i had sandstone in there.

well after reading and finding out this was unsuitable i went and fetched a load of limestone.

jus wondering what you guys think so far?

You can get about 20-25 in there can't you?

im not sure yet to behonest.


apparently i can stock it quite high aslong as i do it right and to make sure aggresion is spread out.


i dont get paid for a couple of weeks yet so i was jus getting the tank sorted.


now thats done its time to start picking stock and getting all the info i need.

lol, i was wondering wheather to set up a cichlid tank cos i'll have a spare 50g soon.

Either that or i'll put a few oddballs in it

well i already have a community tankl so i jus wanted something a lil different and to make the tank look different too.


cichlids seem a popular choice.

No its bigger than 55g because the measurements for a 55g is 4'x1'x1'

But awesome looking tank, can't wait to see it with fish in it.

Looks brill! How big are those lumps of rock? They look massive. How much did the rock cost and where did ya get it from?

the biggest piece is probably the size of a football but not as round.


didnt cost me anything.


im lucky to live near a place called malham which is where alot of limestone comes from.


jus went with the car and collected some up from the fields.

As someone who just spent ages smashing up rock last week to put in a tank, I agree that looks great, but some of the pieces (on the left particularly!) look a bit precarious. Hope it all works out ok!

Still got the fluval4 or do you have an external now, you have hidden your heater nicely got the fry out then where are they now.
