Ok, started just after i came back from holiday to Thailand and left my dad in charge of my fish.
Never been a problem before, my dad is very good at looking after them and follows instructions down to a 'T'.

Got home, one of my glassfish is swimming awkwardly - he's doing tumbles and spins. Not his antennae (sorry, not sure what you call them :/), both both are fine. Now another of my glassfish appears to have white flakes all through his body and is sitting on the bottom of the tank. My two other glassfish are fine, but they seem concerned for their friends.
Found one of my cories dead. He had been fine, we did a water change (as we regularly do) and that night found him dead. The water parameters before the water change were 0 nitrite, and between 20 and 40 mg/L nitrate. Now they are 0 nitrite and between 0 and 20 mg/L nitrate.
And now, disaster has struck, my oldest cory is sick. His fins are completely torn up, he almost has no tail fin, his body is flaky and he just looks a mess! I'm so devastated, i moved him to our quarantine tank a few days ago but he seems to be getting worse. I feel like if he is going to die, i would prefer to leave him with his friends! I dont know if its just old age, he's only a little peppered cory and is going on 4 years old now, but im not sure how old he was when we got him. What is going on!!
The other fish left in our bigger tank seem to be fine, except that my bristlenose catfish have gone a funny yellow-orange colour.
Please help, I dont want to lose my fish!

This is the only clue I can think of...... VELVET!!
Fish look like they have been finely dusted with flecks of gold, fins may be clamped and the fish may shimmy.
Treat with an anti-parasitic medication such as copper or formalin/malachite green.

Google it and see if thats what you're seeing,,
hope this helps
