well today we just went to the lfs to get some corals and maybe a fish for my family's tank. my brother wanted a bubble coral but he never listens. i keep on trying to tell him that it will grow too big and we dont have any more room for it so guess what he does. he goes aand buys one!!! my dad aso doesnt listen to my ideas. can you believe that we dont even have one mushroom rock!!! sorry but i just have to write this to take out my anger. i already feel better.lol
do you guys have any ideas on how to knock some sense into my family?

Oh thats not a bubble coral guys, thats bubble algae, it will take over the tank and kill things in it. Its really hard to find real bubble coral in (whatever country you live in).

What is so bad about that?

Lucifer will be heading down to BHS for some woollies before a mushroom ever enters my tanks. Not all tanks have to have a certain set of inverts.

yeah, mushrooms are cool. i like the two colored ones, like a purple with a green tint to it. well, they will see that you are right once the bubbles start killing off other coral. guess you have to wait till then

Its really hard to find real bubble coral in (whatever country you live in).

Bubble algae and bubble coral are VERY different, and they arent that hard to find at all. I cant imagine anyone would actually pay for bubble algae anyway, even if they didnt know what it was.

Keep an eye on it as bubble coral can be very agressive.

The only mushroom i have in my tank is a single neon green ricordia.

Yeh. Bubbles are cool. The only problem is that I remember my friend had one and had a lot of problems with it. I think that he eventually got rid of it. I would try to trick your brother into bringing it back. That's just my thought though.

yep, to keep them from buying a coral that can pose problems to other corals aka knocking some sense into the family
