SO HAPPY I GOT PUFFERS

Congratulation, DPs are a lot of fun. I'm sure you did your research, but make sure that 20 gallon's full of plants of other obstroctions to break down the line of sight...DPs seem to like activity in their tank, as long as it doesn't break their territories.

What exactly are puffers? Hiow are they classified? Are those colors natural?
They are fish, they're classified under a number of names (my avatar is Carinotetraodon Travancoricus), and yes, those colours are natural.

They're extremely personable fish with loads of attitude, but they're not for someone without time to devote to them. Most of them require a species-only tank (with minor exceptions) and need to be fed rather painstakingly, with live food whenever possible.

There's a lot of info in the Oddball's Institute, so if you find any species in particular you're interested in, you can ask questions there. Dwarf puffers are probably the most common in the hobby, because of their small size, and the fact that they can (relatively easily) be bred in captivity.
