im so angry and annoyed, i brought 8 plecos, all arrived today i floated them in a bag for 1 hour then started to put some of the tank water into the bag, they were all great swimming about then just started droping dead i don't know why, the p.h is great only 1 survived, they gave me no good speciemings. £18 down the drain, has this happened to any1 before?

Did they drop dead in the bag? or in the tank? How did you acclimatise them?

What type of plecs were they?

leaving them in the bag for an hour after being in the same water overnight during transport may have been too much for them. once the water in the bag has reached the same temp as the tanks then you can start adding water from the tank into the bag, this usually only takes about 10 or 15 minutes.
did you check the ammonia levels within the bag on arrival?
people usually dont feed fish the day before if they are to be sent via courier etc so they have less chance of pooing in the bag or smaller amounts anyway..... was there much floating in the bag?

How did you go about the acclimation process? Don't be to pissed I lost a 4 inch gold nugget for no apparent reasons
