Hi everyone,

Have just brought home a new snowball pleco for my 75g tank :fun: . I already have a lemon spotted green pleco and a BN within my community tank. I also got a tub of little catfish pellets, which are supposed to be high in protient n stuff.

How often should I feed them these and how much? I already give flake food to the fish every evening and use bloodworn instead about once a week. I've also given them a brussel sprout cooked a bit and cut in half and the BN and clown loach are lovin it!!! :hyper: It has taken them a few days to get through the sprout though, is this ok?

Any tips on making my new pal happy would be great :D

Do you have any driftwood/bogwood? They like that :)

I think you can feed the catfish pellets like you do flake... I think most are ment to be a stable diet for catfish and are simply made to sink so your other fish don't always eat the food before they can get to it. To be on the safe side, feed them every other day.

Keep feeding fresh foods but don't leave them in the tank for too long...

I always feed all my fish a wide range of foods randomly... for example - today I fed frozen brine shrimp and flake. Yesterday it was cucumber and freeze-dried blood worms. The day before I think I gave them another kind of flake and some pellets like the ones you mentioned... and so on... :D As fish don't need to eat *every* day, I feed all of them the same food (unless they have some special requirements) and let the fish choose what they do or do not like. Usualy there is something they like included and if not, if they are hungry, they will eat it anyway.

Just joining in :D Mu guppies are greedy so and sos!! they eat algae wafers that I put in for my plec Bob.D'you think I should feed him every day now. Have been putting 1 wafer every other day :dunno:

I fed the brussel sprout the day before yesterday and its almost all gone, but i'll take it out now I think.

I do have a piece of bogwood in the tank as well :p

What does he eat on the days he doesn't get a wafer? You should also be feeding him some live or frozen/freeze-dried foods. I see no harm in feeding him every day provided he eats it all quickly and you don't give too much... maybe you could cut it in half and feed half every day?
