I got my new stock yesterday, which consisted of;

1 RTBS (approx 2 n 1/2 inches long)
3 Female Convicts (approx 1 inch each)
and a gorgous Snowball Plec (approx 5 or 6 inches long)

Thing is...the snowball plec was in there last night....but cant find her anywhere this morning.

I've looked everywhere but cant find her.

Posted this in tropical chat, but figured i should probably be a bit more specific so put it here too.

Does anyone know of snowball plecs going into hiding after being introduced into the tank?
She was quite active yesterday. Someone on here mentioned that there plec used to bury itself in the gravel for days at a time, has anyone else experienced this?

Any help is really appreciated :)

One of our plecs spent 3 days playing hide an seek, favourite spots were behind the heater or under the filter but this fish is only small 3". No idea if snowballs bury themselves. Hope someone with a better idea comes along soon.

FOUND IT :D :D :D

She's managed to get herself inside my filter next to the pump head. So gonna work out a way to stop this from happening again.

Really has scared cr@p out of me.

Thanks for all your help guys :D :D :D

when i got my snowball plec it was also very timid and never came out but after a week or so i started seeing it mainly at nite and now shes very active and usually the first out :)

Have you got lots of caves or hiding places in there? Having several caves/ bits of bog wood will give your plec alternate places to hide. Glad your found it and good luck sorting the filter problem out
:)
