Here's my lastest snakey addition, Diablo the royal python. I say latest but hes been with me for 2 months now.

These are some close up pics that Lisa (Hooligan) took.

took a while and is still a bit tricky but yes hes a pretty good feeder, usually takes 2 small mice in 1 feeding every 5 days at the moment.

lovely royal, and stunning pics.
thanks for posting!

Aww now thats a lovely Royal. I always wanted one. Had a red tail boa instead. I'll stick with my two beardeds for now.

Thanks all!

I would love a brazillian rainbow boa, but out of my price range at the moment and dont feel my reptile skills are up to them yet.

I'm very happy with my current 3 snakes though.

Brazilian rainbow boa's are so nice.1 1/2 years ago I was figuring out which be best royal python or BRB.Then I shopped around looking at the prices...

Yer, tell me about it! Lisa bought me Diablo (B'day pressie! :-D ) at a not so local shop for 70 quid and they even chucked in a months worth of food but looking at prices recently BRB's are going for near 200

Maybe I'll eventually be able to get 1 of 2 of them.

Just wondering but have you look at the other rainbow boa varieties, there's loads. But they all seem to be too dam expensive.Oh well, royals are great snakes anyway.I managed to get my female for 50 pounds from a breeder, seems that loads of royals are being bred while it's the complete opposite for the BRB's.

Aye I have had a nosey at the other rainbow boas but the colour and pattern of the brazilian just can't be beaten IMO.

I'm sure price will come down at some point, like years ago royal pythons would cost hundreds and tens of thousands for the morphs.

Tbh I think the price may go up even more. From what I know a high percentage are wild caught. And as the rainforests are being cut down and hacked away it's destroying their habitat and most likely killing a lot of them in the process.I did have a rainbow boa book but I can't find it :/ It had all the different kinds.I think there was one other variation which looked nice, but as I said I don't know the name.
