I saw some rope fish the other day and would have liked to get one, however, I know they eat guppies/tetras, so that wouldn't work. Plus, they get really big. I want to find a fish that has the same type of body that won't grow more than say 6-8 inches prefereably. Is there anything out there that I could get. Currently, I have 2 gouramis and 2 guppies. I am bringing the flame gourami back as he is being a jerk to the blue and red one. I was going to get maybe a smaller flame one and a couple more blue and red gouramis so I would have 3 of them, so hopefully no one would get picked on too much. :sly:

You could try peacock eels/macrognathus aculeatus, one of the smaller tropical eels, can reach 12" but 8 is more likely in aquaria, should leave guppies alone if sufficiently fed on other foods although large 8" plus specimins do sometimes eat very small fish.
