I have a question regarding baby snails in my filter. I don't hae a problem with them in the tank, but when I clean my filter I am worried about them getting flushed down the drain. Is there a danger of them surviving and reproducing and causing problems with the local ecosystems? How do I ensure that no snails escape?

well snails are very annoying in a home aquairum but they dont seem to annoy you. Snails reproduce fast just to warn you and more and more will start filling up your tank. I wouldn't worry about snails falling down the drain but if u really want to keep the snails just pull the metal thing in the back of your sink or clog up the hole if ur sink doesnt have the metal thing and slowly clean your filter and if any snail pops out just put them in a little jar with some water, and when you return to your tank dump them in the filter or the tank. I personally would hate snails being in my aquairum but everyone has there own taste in things. hope everything works out. OOO and yeah i think there is a danger of them surving and reproducing in your tank lol. They wil reproduce fast! and if your filter and tank have hoods on them ur snails should stay secure.
