i think you mean hermaphroditic. and while that means they have both male and female "parts" they DO need another snail to breed. they swap sperm with any other snail they happen to come across and then either lay eggs or live baby snails. they can not breed with themselves(this goes for all hermaphrodites)!I have a feeling snails are asexual- which means that they can breed by themselves and don't require a second snail. I would recommend taking both snails out now as before you know it you will have a whole colony of them! I put my snails in my fish pond. If you post a picture I might be able to tell what type they are.
