Snails

All i need to know before i start adding up the prices to see if the tank i want to make is possible ( ) is if i should get snails. Do they help with cleaning your tank? Are they worth it? Will they overrun my tank? What kind is best to get if they are worth getting?

Any suggestions and answers would be helpful!

I have a Apple snail, which need a mate to reproduce, they also are good algae eaters

Well so far from the reasherch i have done it looks like apple snails are the best way to go but if any one else has some suggestions that would be helpful!

I have a few mystery snails in my tank. They are hermaphrodites which are both male and female sexes but the good thing is that they lay their eggs out of water so its easy to catch and they also can grow to the size of a baseball if you provide them with the right conditions like a pond. But they seem to clean up the tank pretty well and spend most of their time cleaning the walls and gravel.
