Snails Whilst Cycling?

hi, i am fishless cycling a 12uk gallon (15us gallon) tank at the moment, and have been for almost 2 weeks. could I add some Malaysian Trumpet Snails to the tank while the cycle is going on? (so obviously i would be adding ammonia whilst they are in there) I was just wondering,

My guess is you can because when I was cycling my tank I planted the tank and about 10 MTS came with them, they lived, I was just throwing in fish food to cycle and I guess they lived on that. the amonia and nitrite was really high and they were out every night munching away.

i would thionk they could yes and probly speed up the cycle .but some one would problbe able to back me up on that hopefully
