I recently set up a new tropical tank which has only Guppies, Neons and a pleco.
The setup is now a couple of months old. My Guppies are breeding and all is well except I seem to have gotten snails from somewhere... perhaps came in the plant roots. I keep removing them whenever I see them as I believe they breed like rabbits. Any suggestions and any info will be much appreciated.

Congratulations!

Those snails will eat algae, decaying plant matter, and leftover food out of reach to others. They are excellent for a planted aquarium and don't let anyone tell you otherwise!

They can get out of control, but there are ways you can deal with it. Weight down a piece of lettuce at the bottom of the tank, and snails will gether on it to feast. You can then remove it with many snails in one shot.

Whatever you do, do NOT use any poisons, or you will end up with a great many snails rotting away in your tank and fouling the water.
