Great (not sarcastic), so how would i clean the 'messy goo' up? And also, what species wont eat plants (as i dont have living plants in at the moment anyway) and keep to a relitivly small size, and what do they feed on, algea?

yea they eat algae before i have a few in a planted tank and they eat all the algae and go on to eat my plants so eventurally I put in a few loaches to clean them up.

What species of snail would be best suited too my tank? 125ltr/28ish gallon, not entirely sure on dimensions. I'd want a fairly small snail, and what would the price be?

popular snails are apple snails. they don't eat plants, but eat algea and leftover food. in other workds, they are scavengers

Plus, they are one of the few snails that need a male and female to reproduce, so you won't be stuck with an infestation

pries vary alot though.
