Ive recently posted a topic about breeding mollies, today i receive a few live plants to put in with them and i have noticed this evening quite a few small white snails.

Are these good or bad for my tank?

At the moment every time i see one i squash it against the side of the tank and the mollies eat them up, because i hear these snails breed quite rapidly if you dont stay on top of them.

A few snails are I think beneficial.
If you don't overfeed your fish you shouldn't have a problem with them.

i feed them the tinyest pinch of flake every other day, do u mean that if my mollies are hungry enough they will eat the snails, or that the leftover food encourages snail growth?

The leftover food encourages the snails to breed, more food = more snails

A couple of snails won't be any harm, but those few snails will quickly turn into hundreds as they easily breed. If I were you, I would just try to get rid of them.

I bought some live plants a while back and found 'a' snail had come in on them. I didn't bother with it, because as far as I could see, there was only one. I currently have a snail issue in my tank and up until this morning, I had hundreds  Now I am putting veggies in often to try to trap the snails and I often remove them as soon as I see them.

I would try to get rid of them all before you end up with oodles of them ;)
