As stated in the subject, my snails have eaten every plant I've tried so far. Yesterday I put a piece of lettuce in there and they devoured it and left my plants alone. Should I leave lettuce in there at all times to keep them occupied? Any advise would be appreciated.

I want to keep the snails I find them quite entertaining. I only have 2 but they are quite large.

What type of snails are they? A lot of the time they eat damaged, dying leaves but will leave healthy growth alone. For instance, I have one leaf on my sword plant atm that has turned a bit brown on the edge and that is the leaf that all the ramshorn snails are on. They are absolutely devouring it. But, I find that the smaller pond snails with the spotted shells and the point on the bottom will eat healthy plants. My ramshorn do not touch any of the healthy growth. Initially, I blamed them for the plant damage but since my assassin snail ate all the pond snails, all my plants are good. Only the dying leaves are a target now. Some of the varieties of apple and mystery snails will eat certain plants too.

Yeah get different snails. I have rams horn snails they are great. They don't eat plants they keep my plants looking good they clean them for me. I love rams horn snails they are small come in different colors and don't get out of control.

Another good point that was brought up was how healthy were your plants?
