I have had my goldfish for a year now and they have grown very well.

A week ago my sister gave me a Black Moor that had ich, I treated it and the ich spot went away. Now the same fish has a whitish mark on it body that looks different from Ich. (I used to keep fish back in the 80's and know very well about ich) I have done a little research and the circular spot looks like fungus. I don't have the cure for that yet and our very tiny pet store has only begun to stock fish and supplies this last week. What should I do? Separate my two Goldfish from the Black Moor or is it too late?

And; Along with the Black Moore came a snail who has devoured my aquatic plant, can I keep it with the fish?

Lastly; I purchased two different kinds of snails who do not eat the plant, but with all the snail debris, are these 3 snails, 1 Black Moor, 2 Red Ryukins to many creatures in my 10 gallon tank?

Thanks someone out there,

Are these critters ever addictive!!!

well those fish need at least a 40 gallon for the three fish.

Yes, that is seriously overstocked, but the snails are the least of your worries. ;) I recommend 30 gallons ~per goldfish~ with exceptional filtration (but i live in a warm area and they poop more in warm water). A more lenient minimum is 20 gallons for the first one and 10 for every new one, in which case 40 gallons is the bare minimum and that would be only the short term, eventually they'd need more. Goldfish get really large. They will attempt to eat snails that are small enough to get in their mouths, but if the snails are larger they will be ok, althoguh the goldfish may play football with them from time to time. The snails (and goldfish) need to be fed greens.

If possible, absolutely, separate him and treat him alone and keep an eye on the main tank (a week of small daily water changes in the main tank would help if the immune systems of the others are borderline). Make sure you look at columnaris as a possiblity as well, it's often mistaken for fungus and requires different treatment.
