I got a golden inca snail tonight... It is just too much fun watching this little guy. I got lucky enough to find a fairly active one. My fiance named him The Professor. He has gone right to work cleaning up stuff I didn't even know was there until he cleaned it! He's been all over, and the girls haven't quite figured him out yet.

Princess seems to want to show her dominance over him, but she doesn't quite know how to do it. She's just been following him around the tank and watching him. Once, she was following him up the side of the tank, and he pooed. She thought it was food and grabbed it. She promptly spat it out, darted to the other end of the tank, and hasn't bothered him since.

Lawan has finally found someone calm enough to pick on. Everytime she notices him she attacks his shell.

What's funny is that Bloo has become The Professor's protector. Whenever any of the others get near him, she flares at them and chases them off.

:grr: I got some tiny snails that came in with the weed and all they do is poo. Every time I see one I get it out and stick it in a jam jar of water....I am going to take them to school to let the kids see them

Sounds like great fun, flautist! Almost makes me want to get a snail myself... and I hate them.

I have some pesky snails that i toss into a beaker full of salt water that i used to hatch brine shrimp.

I have a few weeny snails but they don't seem to be a problem my new rescue tends to like budging them a bit with his mouth.

Btw. Do you think my sunshine pleco will eat an apple snail?

Sounds like they've got some new entertainment. One of mine has been looking full when I go to feed him in the AM and I see him hunting amongst the plant-life in his tank so I'm hoping he's eating up those pesky little snails....We have small hitchikers not royalty like you have. Sounds like he's a good neutral tank-mate that they all have their own reactions to. Too bad you're not majoring in psych!
