If there is a bright spot in the universe I'm in t
I noticed this morning that there is a very small snail on the side of my tank?!?!?! I never put any snails into my tank, where could he have come from???? He has a dark gray shell, small antenna, not muh else to describe. Please any help would be very nice as soon as possible so I know what is going on. Thank You

:) have you added anything to the tank in the past week or so, a new fish a plant a piece of wood?

:) as you have noticed one there will be loads more somewhere. the best way to get rid of them in my tank has been to pick them out as they have been seen. good luck.

Get ready for more to magically appear. I got them somehow in a 2 gallon betta tank. I clean this tank regularly by emptying it all together and washing the gravel etc.

When I fill it back up there are never any snails but by the time I clean it again, there are always more snails :dunno:

I just pulled out my filter and saw the same thing. There were about four snails brewing around in there. None in the tank. I too question where they came from as I haven't put anything new in the tank in about a year. In fact, about a month ago I recently tore down my filter and cleaned it out. Any thoughts?

MUST be from your plants. I had the same problem a couple of weeks ago when I bought some new plants. Found 2 more since.

GET RID!!

Once snails invade....it's not likely you will ever rid your tank completely. There are lots of fish that appreciate snails in their diet though. Most,if not all, of the botia species love to eat snails.HTH. :D

Just gravel, two plastic plants, a plastic cave, and two plant pots.
