I have too many snails, The more i take out the more there seems to be!!
I want to know which tropical fresh water fish would be the best fish to eat them up? :dunno:
But the problem i have is that the snails are in the fry tank so i need a fish that wouldn't eat the fry, just the snails.

Thanks :D

well, loaches are community fish taht eat snails. not sure how they'd do with fry though, don't have any myself to speak from experience. will depend on tank size as to what you can have though as these guys need to be in groups of at least 3. chain or pygmy loaches or queens or yoyo might be nice though, they only get 3 or 4 inches long.........

I would go to the LFS store and try to find loaches in a tank with other small fish (for the saftey for the fry) there is also meds you can add to the tank...... but if you decide loaches, do buy a couple like molly said. once i bought only one loach and he got lonley and started killing my neons. once he learned, all i could do was move him to a isolate tank.  :fun:

I've got 4 clown loaches that seem to do the trick, although I still have snails in the the tank they never get to any size before they disappear. As already stated don't keep them on thier own as they do seem to like each others company. If you feed them algae wafers you will also hear them clicking with joy as they munch them. :D

keep in mind size of your tank, other tank mates, and room you have left for fish. clown loaches get quite large (8-11 inches full grown).

Well will eat both....A Big Beautiful Oscar !!!!! An oscar is a garbage disposal with scales.
