snail

Apple snails or Golden snails IMO do best in community tanks. They are large and don't have so many babies like teh pond snail. They eat veggies, you can feed them sliced cucumbers, and lettace. But they will eat the stuff on teh bottom like fish flakes. You might want to feed them an occasional algea waffer every so often though. Good Luck,
Ron

I bought a large golden inca snail (in the apple snail family) for my male betta tank. First snail I have ever had an it is fasinating. I am learning that snails are actually quite intelligent. It has never laid eggs and I am glad and it is totally peaceful. The yellow color makes it stand out beautifully under the aquarium lights. I would highly recommend a golden inca or anything in the apple snail family. :D
