Found this trawling around my tank this morning. Its about 1cm long and moves quick (for a snail)

Is it beneficial or should I remove it.

Tank has only bee set up for 3 days, think it cam in on some planted bogwood

Problems with snails is they reproduce like nothing on earth so PERSONALLY I would remove it. It's up to you thogh. They are not going to do any harm at this stage.

Thats a common pond snail and they multily like mad and eat plants. If you have any loaches or puffers they will eat it. When i find them in my tank i put them in my pond, some of them have got quite big now.

I'd remove it as they get in the filter and everything and are a pain to get rid of.

i have millions of them.I dont mind them personally.I just leave them and if they get too much i can always take them out.And my large fish seem to love them :dunno:
