Hi guys,

A few days ago I lost my white mystery snail, Gary, how was doing perfectly fine the days before.
I went on a trip for about 3 days, and when I came back, Gary's shell was empty, with the foot covering on the other side of the tank from where the empty shell was. I did the "smell" test on the shell, and did not smell anything.

The thing is, I don't know how Gary died. Any thoughts?

*all water parameters are fine

probably was eaten by another fish. also when snails die and are left in water that has a current they can be sucked out of their shell. look around the tank and you might find the body. if not then he was eaten... or you have a "mystery" on your hands .. ha... but yes sorry for your loss.

and by saying all water parameters are fine.. what are the stats?

Is the shell intact? No holes or parts on it that look eaten away?

sorry for the loss.
Either old age or something in your water quality is wrong.
Hm.... You said that you saw his corpse(foot) on the glass?
how long have you had him?

It could be any of the nitrogen poisons.

What tank mates did it have? Is it possible one ate him?

If he died then he was likely eaten if you have tank mates.  When the occasional assassin snail dies everyone in my tank makes an effort to eat them.. shrimp, fish, other assassins...
