Snail Question....

Ok so today I was looking at my aqurium and noticed the strangest thing, my " Blue Snail " as the pet store calls it was like trying to suck up my " Brown Snail ". I was extreamly conffused. Is it nothing and were they just mearly " cleaning eachother " or we they mating maby? Any advice would be helpful and appricated!! Thank you!!

i don't suggest having 2 snails in the same tank because they might mate and have eggs. It might be a form of mating or if it is an asassin snail it might be trying to eat it.

It all depends on the snails whether or not you'd get eggs. Most snails are harmless and breeding wouldn't cause much trouble.

They may just have been passing by each other if the other was sucking on the shell. If they were making fleshy contact, then it could have been mating, but it sounds like they are two different kinds of snails.

Thank you!! Well they were making " fleshy contact ". They are the same species but have differant shells. No eggs have been seen yet....
