2 weeks ago I bought a snail from my local pet store. I don't know what kind it is and they didn't either. But the snail hasn't moved on it's own...ever. Unless it is running around the tank and then returning to exactly the same spot it was in previously, I am very sure it hasn't moved. Sometimes it's little foot thing seems to be poking out of it's shell more than other times, but I'm really not sure. I threw some sinking fish food and an algae pellet in there for him not knowing what he would want to eat but again, I don't think he's actually ate any of it.
How do I tell if he's alive or dead? I pulled him out a few times and looked at him but I can't tell that way either. Needless to say, I feel pretty stupid. BTW, he's in a 6 gallon tank with a Betta as the only tank mate.
