Hi All,
Need some help here. My mother purchased 5 snails from the lfs the other day. From looking at the sticky about snails I'd say they are either the rams or apple. Its hard to tell though. Their shells are covered in what looks like green algae and then on top of that is all this white fuzzy stuff. The whole shell is completely covered. I have no idea what this is. Is there a species of snail thats covered in white fuzz?? Or has she introduced some kind of disease into her tank?? She said all the snails in the tank at the lfs were like that, so she just thought thats the way they were. If it is some kind of fungus?? or disease, what should I tell her to do to treat it??
Thanks,
Tammy
