Snail Poop??

I had some snails come w/ my new plants, a few snails. I just noticed there is green poop looking strands coming off of one... Is this poop? Theres 2 of them so i'm wondering if theyre some type of worm? i never saw a snail poop before...

Also, how big to these snails get?
