Snail Or Shrimps,

I am thinking of getting a snails or shrimps for my main tank. what I want is one that eats algae and pest snails, I already have 2 bamboo shrimps in the tank along with guppy's, platy's, swordtails, mollie's, neon's, gourami's its a 3ft 3 tank,


was thinking about doing same for my 2ft baby tanks as well

any idea's welcome

if it's a snail eater you want, then the assassin snail is pretty much the only choice.

However, if you have a snail issue then consider why. Primarily it will be due to overfeeding the tank allowing enough excess to support the growing snail population.

not really got a snail problem had a few snails come in plants and been pulling them out when I see them I don't think have bred because there isn't more have seen a few young ones in my baby tank but they have gone just fancied a snail but don't want one that breeds like mad
