I have 3 adult golden apple snails in my 75L set up
4 days ago a clutch of eggs appeared above the water line on the underside of the lid
The prospect of becoming a step parent was very exciting lol
Yesterday I found 5/6 baby snails in my tank - these are approx 2mm in size and in close up pics can be seen to resemble the golden snails.
The clutch of eggs under the lid is seemingly intact but is gradually changing colour to slightly red as opposed to creamish.
Surely it is not possible for the eggs to hatch in 3 days
There is nowhere else above the water line where eggs could have been laid and incubated without my knowledge.
I really have a mystery snail mystery lol.
Can anyone unconfuse my melting brain
