I've got two big snails fighting in my tank.At least i think that's what they are doing. :*)

On a more serious note, the moonlight strip lights: can they be left on all night or do my fish need a bit of total darkness?
The moonlight bulbs seam a little bright, i use a 36" bulb.

I don't think they're fighting! Expect tiny snails in a while. :) Don't know about the moonlights, I know ordinary lights need to be off for a while.

No seriously be expecting alot of babys. What kind of snails are they?

Certainly sounds like baby snails are on the way !

Re your moonlights: only have it on for a couple of hours while viewinging and put it off when you go to sleep. Or else you will soon have huge amounts of algae soon.

Not too sure what type of snails they are, proabably hitchhikers that came in on plants.
I should get them out, but i think my fish like the baby snails :hey: they nearly wiped the snails out, when i first put my mollies in.

well if the lights are bright enough to cause algae then there definately too bright!!

i have mine on all the time. dnt even turn em off during the day i jus put the big lights on over them.

never had a problem with algae,

Why burn out your moon lights when you can't seem them when your alseep and when the main tank light is on? I guess you have money to burn don't ya. :hey:

Well, if they are pest snails then they are probably fighting. If I am correct I believe pest snails are asexual.
