Well I have a small critter keeper set up with bladder and ramshorns. Clean water daily and add fresh food daily. Doing the water changes today and there are eggs! Some on teh glass, on the leaves of plants left in there, they are everywhere :) :hyper:

Have a question, I leave the small tank at room temperature what is an average of them hatching. I have a small glass tank that I could pop the ladened leaves in for the babies to hatch, would this be a good idea or let nature take its course?

Very excited :good:

Just leave the eggs be. They will all hatch. You won't be able to see them for the first week or so as they are tiny and clear. As soon as you can see them (there will probably be thousands) you will be surprised.

I recently gave away ALL of my 10 red ramshorns... Till another 10 started appearing over the past few weeks!! And that was me TRYING to get rid of them. Give it a couple of weeks and you'll be over-run. Hehe, that's one lucky puffer! :D

I really hope so! LOL My dwarf puffs are not going to know what hit them :hyper:

One last thought there are quite a few adult snails very gratefully donated. Wil they eat each others eggs?

Highly unlikely, fish may and so may assassins but normally the eggs will be untouched.

Brilliant thank you! Keep finding more and more batches, going to have to be extra careful cleaning now and when they hatch - what have I got myself into

You don't have to be extra careful. Who knows what that egg coating is made from, but trust me it doesn't 'accidentally' come off. You have to actually be trying to remove the eggs to shift them. :D

We have...babies! Well I assume they are, the minutest snail shells to be seen and almost not recognised. Plus they moved :hyper:

Very cute. Counting the egg sacks on the sides, leaves and a couple floating on the bottom of the tank we have about 30 sacs! Yay :good:
