I have a couple apple / mystery snails that I would rather not murder, and was considering adding a few yo-yo loaches to my tank at some point. Would they eat my large snails, or do they just pick off little ones?

I'm not sure is the honest answer, but I've got 2 yoyo's and 2 clown loaches and they ignore my small snails. They have been recently moved though so when they've settled down the snails may well get eaten :dunno:

I put one of our apples in the 50l with 2 ladder loaches....

and although there were still some small snail that they had left alone, they instantly attacked the apple :(

Havent dared to try the 190l with 4 clowns after thet

Yeah, you'd be rollin' the dice. I have two large apple snails in with a red tailed sand loach and he tries to attack them but they're just too big. He's still pretty small and I think if he was bigger he'd be able to pull it off.
