Is this clutch of ramshorn snails?
PICT0003.jpg

Dirty dawgs.

Well I have spotted quite a few all over the tank which is hardly surprising really. So I fed some to my danios and pristellas. They are used to eating limpets but were not to sure about the baby ramshorns. A few were spat out by fussy pristellas but I can rely on the danios helping me out. :D
Oh dear I really hope I'm not overrun. Will apple snails eat them perhaps? Whilst they are still small things? I also read khuli loaches like to eat snails but I don't know if this is true. Obviously small snails. Ah well.

Yeah ramshorn eggs, I dont mind them in the tank, good algae eaters, I take out lots and put them into the pond, yeah lots of loaches eat them not sure about the khulis haven't kept them.

I have a pond. Would they do ok in there? Theres plenty of algae in there.

Yeah they do fine in my pond, as long as your pond doesnt freeze completly they will be fine. I just float them in a bag so dont get too much of a temperature change shock, just cant bring myself to kill them.

I have amano shrimp. I really don't like killing them but would rather my fishes got a tasty meal.
About the pond. It does freeze in the winter but only the top layer.

Hmmm sorry for the next comment.

See why can't my snails lay eggs :( Tis annoying, I want to be over run, they make great clean up crews in non planted tanks, like all my tanks except one. Anyone have any snails they are willing to post me? Preferably apple, though others would be nice except MTS pleeeeeeeease.

I'd send you some of those eggs or babies if you want? Will be getting different coloured ramshorns soon too so looking forward to them multiplying.
