smelly cat

Hi,

Monkey (the cat) came home the last night looking a bit dishevelled.We thought at first she had caught in the rain but on further inspection were surrised to discover she was covered in p**

I didn't think cats rolled in stuff, unlike my naughty dog who loves nasty smelly stuff, the smellier the better.

I am concerned that someone has done this to her!

Any ideas?

Uhm a cat won't do that - well it's highly highly unlikely - they most certainly do not have that instint to roll in smelly stuff like dogs do. I suspect someone did it to her
Did you have to wash or sponge bath her ?
Hope she's ok now

Cats wont hardly role in stuff that will make them smell bad. They are a clean animal. That is very odd. I am surprizred the cat washes everytime something has been put on the animal. Or that is what I think.

sponged her down not brave enought to attempt a bath.Monkey is a torty and although very lovable its strictly on her terms , my cattery lady was telling me that her friend calls tortys hell cats.Bit unfair but I can see where she is coming from.
Don't get me wrong Monkey is fantastic, a cat with attitude!

I can't belive that someone would do that to a cat, they would of had p** all over their hands, but then some people are very odd and cruel

Monkey is fine now, thanks.Will keep a close eye out for people with p** on their hands

i think i know wat it is, this might sound a bit odd but my cat some times comes in smelling of it too.we too were finding it a bit odd and we soon found out it was a stray male cat centing its terrortory on him.my cat is so lade back so he tollerates (sp) it.i know every 1 will be saying its very odd and unlikely but its true i seen iot with my own eyes.hope this has helped.

Cats pee has a different smell to human pee - more potent kinda musty, anyone who has smelt cats wee will know what I mean

Don't think its a scenting thing then, cats don't mark there terrotory with poop they use wee
